Sarah Yates
Associate Attorney
Sarah Yates is a dedicated advocate with a unique background as a former high school teacher now practicing law. She has a passion for family law, particularly with a focus on seeking the best outcome for children and their relationships with parents.
Ms. Yates grew up in Coppell, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries. She completed a Master’s in Environmental Science at Louisiana State University. Ms. Yates then worked as a high school science teacher for nine years. She also served as a foster parent to several teenagers, giving her a unique perspective on the family law system.
In 2021, Ms. Yates began attending law school part time while continuing to teach school full time. She graduated with her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2024. In her final year of law school, Ms. Yates participated in the Child Protection Clinic and interned at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.
When Ms. Yates is not working, she cherishes time with her family, particularly her nieces and nephews. She also volunteers in her church nursery, cares for her menagerie of pets, and enjoys the gym.
